Abraham George reelected as President of Kerala Travel Mart Society

New Team headed by Mr. Abraham George will lead Kerala Travel Mart Society 2015-17 

Mr. Abraham George, popularly known as Johny in Tourism Industry has been elected as President of Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) for 2015-17 term. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Kochi based , Intersight Tours & Travels, one of the leading Tour Operators of God’s Own Country. Mr. Jose Mathew, Managinmg Director of Rainbow Cruise  is the new Honorary Secretary and Mr. Jose Pradeep, Director, Hotel Yuvarani Residency Kochi  is the new honorary treasurer.

The other office-bearers include:  Mr. Prakash Nair, General Manager of Taj Hotels & Resorts has been elected as vice president and Mr. G. Gopinath, Managing Director BTH Sarovaram Hotels Kochi as Joint Secretary.

The other managing committee members include: Mr. Baby Mathew ( Chairman & Managing Director Somatheeram AYurvda group), Mr. George Dominic ( Executive Director of CGH Earth Hotels), Mr. Rajasekharan Nair ( CMD, Uday Samudra Resort KOvalam), Mr. M.R. Gopalakrishnan ( MD, Kadappuram Beach Resort, Nattika, Trichur), Mr. C.C. Ashraf ( MD, Green Gates Hotel, Kalpetta), Mr. Ross Masood ( Executive Director, Great India Tour Company) , Mr. Scaria Jose ( MD of Carmelia Haven Resort, Vandenmedu, Idukki), Mr. Mathews E V ( Director, Eastend Hotels & Resorts), Mr. Roy Chacko (MD, Lezeldor Cochin), Mr. Swaminathan.S ( MD, Dravidian Trails Holidays Pvt. Ltd., Cochin), Mr. Manoj Babu, MD, Ayurbay Medicus Beach Resort, Vizhinjam) and Mr. Dilip Pottamkulam ( MD of Camelot Resort, Munnar).  Mr. Mathew Philip will continues as the CEO of KTM.

The new office bearers were elected at the 15th annual general body meeting held recently at Dream Hotel Kochi. This is the second consecutive term for Mr. Abraham George as KTM President. Kerala Travel Mart Society is the umbrella organization of Travel, Tourism and Hospitality industry in Kerala.

Speaking on the occasion, the newly elected president said that new marketing strategies would be developed to bring more tourists to Kerala and efforts would be made to strengthen the tourism industry.

A new tourism culture will be formulated by KTM with the help and cooperation of State Government and various organisations and other establishments in the tourism industry, he said.
