Windows 8 phones from Nokia

Nokia unveiled its first smart phones using Windows 8 software in a joint event with Microsoft. The new phones, the Lumia 920 and 820, come just a few days after Samsung launched its Windows 8-based smart phones.

The Lumia 920 has a 4.5-inch (11-cm) screen and an 8.7-megapixel camera with a floating lens that uses software for image stabilisation. The Lumia 820, whose screen measures 4.3 inches, has an 8-megapixel camera without the optics software. Both will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year. Availability and pricing for the Indian market is not known yet.
